A few probs with xmpeg and flashmpeg

Ok i have converted enemy at the gates a few times now with divx 3.1 (couldn't open the file), divx 4 (sound was behind the movie) and divx 5 (same problems) in flashmpeg then i got xmpeg and i could encoded each vob file seperate without any probs till i got dvdmism then it goes back to the problems i faced with flashmpeg.

I use mp3 codec @ 128kb/s, 720, 567 (or whatever), croped to a x of 4, 48000 hz and the settings indicated on the xmpeg setup page in this site. Anyone know how to fix this ?
Ihave encoded fight club in divx low motion and it worked perfictly, enemy at the gates didn't work using the same settings, rammstien dvd and Don't Say A Word were done with divx 3 but it has a large file size (1.7 & 1.8gb compaired to fight club which is 2 hours of video with better quility @ 1gb)

[EDIT] A new problem i have found in xmpeg is that it gets to about 25% then says its gona take 25-33 hours to complete and the project size says 12000000+ kbs I think, when i start the conversion it starts from about 5-6gb and risses till i have no free space (have 20gb free space when trying to convert these dvds.)

What kind of settings did you use?
What do you mean by "project" ? Your logfile or your avi?

project size is what it said in xmpeg

i have gone back to flashmpeg with divx 5 since things have been working fine now.
