    Problems joining with virtualdub

I have 4 avi files, each having audio perfectly sync'd and video looking good. The four together total about 900 megs, so I want to join the first two for one CD and the last two for the second CD.

I've tried opening up VirtualDub, loading the first avi, selecting Direct Stream Copy for both audio and video, then doing the append an avi, and save the avi. When I do this, the audio gets all out of sync.

Any idea on why, or how to join the two without sync problems?

I have also experienced this problem on one occasion. You can use the interleaving feature in virtualDub to "offset" the audio to its correct position. This worked fine for me.
