    Audio format question

    Hello,

    Here is today's silly question:

I have a Plextor ConvertX PX-M402U video converter and I'm about to embark on the epic task of transferring our VHS tapes to DivX files.

The DivX settings on the Plextor allow for MP2 or MP3 audio. Which setting will provide the better sound quality?

With many thanks in anticipation of a reply.

mp2 is an older format and mp3 is based upon it....as an enhanced more current version if you will. So I would go for the MP3.
