End up with green video

Hi all, hope someone has a suggestion.

I have some NTSC .avi source files that are B/W. They play fine and show no chroma content.

When they are converted to dvd vobs they have a slight green tint scattered in blotches throughout the video which comes and goes.

I have used 2 different programs to author from avi as well as author from m2v/mpa and it occurs using both.

could your source be damaged?

often glitches occur when the stream is corrupt at that very spot
