audio video totally out of sync

    audio video totally out of sync

    pretty much what the title says. i tried dvd flick and divxtodvd. both programs have the end product with messed up audio and video. the original video clip is totally fine and works great but once i convert/encode it it throws everything off. any suggestions?

    Please give info about the original avi using Mediainfo.Also let us know about the target parameters you set in Flick/Divx2dvd.

          well i put them onto an external hard drive and then burn with nero

              No. You said you tried DVD Flick to convert your file. I want to know about the project settings in DVD Flick.

                      OK.And let us know about the outcome.
                      But I feel that it is better NOT to try converting a VCD to DVD using DVD Flick.You should first make DVD compliant MPEG2 files using something like TMPGEnc. Then author the DVD. Also, DVD Flick is converting the audio too,from MP2 to AC3.
                      If you prefer a simpler way,you might try out SUPER. In SUPER you can choose to keep the MP2 audio(although the sampling frequency will now be different).
                      There is another way. Since DVD-Video standard accepts MPEG1 also,you can extract the MPEG1 from your VCD and create a DVD as shown in this guide.

                        nope it is still off. the files are in mpeg form already. any suggestions

                            ok i tried the TMPGEnc and all i get is a vlc media file and a wav. what do i do now. how do i combine them, so i can get them on a dvd
