    Lipsync problems.

    Hi All,

O.k. I know this may sound like the simple lipsync problem, but not so fast. I'm having problems converting HD transport streams I've taken off my PVR or OTA and occasionally get bad lipsync problems when converting them to XViD or H.264.

Of course sometimes adjusting the framerate will fix things, other times advancing or delaying will work.

I still have a few that I can never get the lipsync correct. I assume it due to missing or deleted AC-3 frames due to a transport stream error. This completely throws off the encoder and I can never get lipsync adjusted correct. I almost have to insert a frame or two of silence to make up for a gap in the AC-3 stream.

I currently use AutoGK for convience, or VirtualDub if I'm having problematic conversions. Is there another conversion tool that will keep an eye on the timestamps to avoid lipsync problems?
