converting rmvb to avi or anything that i can burn with nero

I have a very large anime series in RMVB format, the format realplayer uses unless i'm mistaken. I been having a hell of a time trying to get this format onto DVDs for my DVD player. Nero burns just about every format besides RM and RMVB. So i downloaded Xilisoft Video Converter, which says it converts RM and RMVB to other formats, but whenever i attempt to do so it says "Failed". I tried many other programs but they all print watermarks or have very bad quality so if anyone knows either why my program is failing or a better program i would appreciate your help.

Btw, if anyone knows a program that burns RMVB to a DVD directly that would probly be my best option, thanks.
