Alltoavi merge

Alltoavi has worked beautifuly for me..i have successfully used the plugin to split avi files...but the plugin to merge avi files doesnt seem to be working...is there something i need to download? perhaps a different version???
i am using v4.53.93
Any help is appreciated...
