i keep getting this during the divx3 compressability check
will this destroy my encode?
i'm going to send it through but this is i believe happening due to
flask keeps erroring out on one vob on this movie as well.
this is starting to get frustrating.
please someone help me get rush hour 2

I would suggest loading the avs file into vdub/nandub, and simply play the movie. If it always crash at the same frame, then I would suspect that the vob file is corrupt.

You are not using fast deinterlace are you ?

during the gknot nandub process it does the same error and then continues on. does that mean that it is working around the error.
i'm in the middle of finishing my first gknot encode i believe, but the error has come up once during the divx3 preprocess and during the actual encode.

If there are no other obvious defects in the resulting avi file, I would think so. But of course I have never experienced this myself.

good quality

gknot makes a much better quality video, but at the parts that errored on flask it creates blocky transitions of action parts.
it also denied the completion of the video. I have a good amount of the video but it would not finish. The good thing about it is that i'm sold on divx and gknot. i wish gknot worked on wm8 as well. i want to be able to use only one encoder for all my needs. they need to make gknot with the abilities to encode in all video and audio formats. is there any way to correct the corrupted files? is there any copyright protection inside the vobs to error the encode? i believe the original dvd was clean an unscratched. is there a way when ripping that you can fix scratches and make sure there is nothing to create the corrupted data

I don't know, as I said I have never experienced this myself. It could be a Mastering error, I guess you could try experimenting with different rippers, DVD decryptor, Clad, ....

i was wondering what that was called.
i've been thinking it was called a corrupted vob.
but the melt and other defects are presale errors.
why would the mpaa have such a shit when they sell
dvd's with imperfections.
