Linkhelpers, how to insert subtitle in a movie?

Hi,
can someone tell me how to insert subtitle in a movie to be shown for example when i watch the movie on my dvd player.. to press the subtitle button and the subtitle to appear.. i heard there is a software or something wich can implement more then one subtitle in a movie.. any ideas?
or maybe a better way.. wich works faster ..
