    DIVx for WMPlayer7???

New here, new to dealing with codecs and suchlike. I have a problem playing AVIs on WMPlayer. I'm told I need the DIVx codec and have investigated it here. I'm confused tho. It seems to be for WMplayer v.6.4, but I have version 7. and have Windows ME Version 6.4 is not designed to run on Windows ME. Isn't there a DIVx for WMPlayer7???
What should i do to get around this problem?

    Thanks in advance

There are plenty. I personally prefer GDIVX.

It runs perfectly on all M$ platforms (98, 2K, ME and XP). And I much prefer it over WMP7. You can access this player by running the command mplayer2.exe from the Run command in the Start menu.

Provided you have the right codec(s) installed, any player you have in the system will be able to play the video contents, regardless of version number.

        START

Just go to http://www.divx.com/divx/ . get free codec bundle (currently v 5.0.2). install it. now WMP won't have any problem...
