wmv to divx

How to convert wmv file to divx.
I have only virtualdub 1.4.10 ?
Please help

You use VirtualDub as regular if you can open wma files in VirtualDub cause I'm not sure of that, but I think it should work though.

If you don't know the procedure it's something like this.
under video choose compression or press ctrl+c. Up pops a screen with a lot of different video codecs. Everyone you have installed on your system. Choose the one of your likening i.e. divx 5.0.2. If you want any filters choose the one of your likenings. depending on the quality on the movie sharpening and/or smoother might be good. Experiment it's the best way to come up with the settings that's best for you. Also if the resolution is big resize filter and a good value, and if you have black borders choose the cropping button and crop away the black borders.

Alternatively a screen capture program such as Camtasia and Snag-it may be of value, usually for the sake of simplicity.
