How to change mp3 sound of AVI video - put another sound

Hello! I would like to know, how to change old sound of compressed AVI video to new sound (mp3 or mp4 file). I am using DIVX CONVERTER. Do I need to download plug in, if I would like to make it with uncompressed AVI?

If the audio is property synchronized already, you can just use AviDemux. Load the Avi, then in the Audio Menu use Main Track to set the main track to an external audio file. I'm not sure which formats are supported(you can't look in without a video loaded to see.)

Then just save the video to disk.
It's probably the easiest way to do it on Windows.
