MP3 Codec not available to FlaskMPEG 0.6+

It's been quite a few weeks now that i'm trying to figure this out , but still nothing. I've installed the Radium MP3 Coded, and i can see it correctly installed on Control Panel Multimedia / Audio Codecs. But what i use FlaskMpeg to convert a movie (e.g The Matrix) after i select DivX 4.11 as a video codec (or not) the only Audio Codec i have available is PCM!!

I'm Using Windows 98 SE with all patches installed, FlaskMpeg 0.6 (AviPlugin 0.58). to complete the process of transforming the movie to AVI i'm using the proposed guide from this site for DVD2AVI with Div 4.x.

Anyody seen this before?!

Mmmm quite a few people have the problem of having the mp3 codec for 1st-pass, and then it disappears during the 2nd-pass. Well, there are probabaly much better solutions to this, but normally I use "direct stream copy" for audio, which does only video and outputs the audio to a separate ac3 file. Then it's ac3dec to change ac3 to wav, normalize the wave file and then use virtualdub to merge the audio and video files.

If you want to skip the normalization process then I think you could do PCM instead of MP3 and recompress audio later on. Also I read somewhere that during the 2nd pass you shouldn't attempt to re-select the MP3 codec and just leave it, but it doesn't work for me, I end up with an audio-less file anyway.

As I said, I'm sure there are better solutions ...
