How do I convert Mpeg-4 files for Ipod to DVD - preferably with free tools?

avi2dvd, mediacoder, avisynth/hcenc.

won't look so good on anything but an ipod though, i wouldn't recommend it at all. if left with no choice i'd take the avisynth route, should at least be able to prevent jagged edges that way
