    StaxRip Aspect Ratio Problem

I've been trying to use StaxRip to encode an H.264 file with an MKV wrapper. Everything has been going pretty smooth, except for certain output files aspect ratio. Depending on the source, the output file will have a stretched or compacted horizontal width.

I've been playing around using a resize filter, and also using the anamorphic check box. No matter what I do, I can't seem to get the desired aspect ratio, I always get super wide screen or less than wide screen. Even if I don't use a resize filter or just use default settings it's still the same. I've encoded two samples to show what I'm talking about, each are 34 seconds.

Here is the anamorphic sample with a resize filter at 720x352.

And Here is the non-anamorphic sample with a resize filter at 720x352.

Here is a sample from the VOB file used to encode.

What's quite odd, is that all the screenshots taken with MPC are the desired resolution and aspect ratio, but what is actually viewed is not. I've tested the files in various programs, all display the odd sized video. What am I doing wrong?
