    Playback is pixelated

Playback used to be fine when I was using Divx3.11Alpha codec for playback. When the videos start, they are pixelated (I can is individual tiny squares but within a few secs it 'smoothens' out and the pixelation effect is gone.

However, after I installed Divx4.11, the smoothening effect doesn't kick in. I still see the individual tiny squares from the beginning until the end of the show.

Can someone plz help me out? Thanx!

I think that is a problem that is caused by the way the video was encoded. If you encode a video in 1-pass-mode (the standard on DivX3.11) the codec can't decide wich bitrate is best for the actual scene in the first seconds. That problem can only(?) be solved by encoding the video in 2-pass-mode.

I don't think it the videos' fault. Every video file I try to play now has this pixelation effect...
