divx audio playback problems

Here is the information I received from virtualdub file info:

It is attached via this post as a .jpg file.


Please could someone tell me as to why my movie is perfect quality and works - and I have no sound?

I have the divx 5.0pro player, and I think all the correct codecs..

Please help!!!

Install the AC3 codec from a codec pack, such as Nimo or Tsunami. Alternatively, you can install a DVD player software, such as PowerDVD or WinDVD, to achieve the same effect.

i have:

powedvd and intervide dvd and neither of them give me sound to play the movie..

Also, you keep mentioning the ac3 codec etc - but where the heck do i get these from and how do i make sure i get the right one???

I.e. what version etc??

The Nimo or Tsunami codec packs have it. I'm not aware of any different versions of the codec.

If you search for UncasMS's recent posts, you should be able to find a certain version of AC3 codec that is more likely to work than that found in the above-mentioned codec packs.
