OVERLAY problem

This problem is giving me headache.
How can I disable overlay in windows? Is there a registry key to do this?

why would you want to do so?

you should actually benefit from using overlayfunctions.

The problem is that all I get is black picture and two thin lines of movie beside it. That's because of overlay, right? On some other computer I used media player 6.4 to turn overlay off, but here is xp

You can use WMP 6.4 on XP as well. Simply run the command 'mplayer2.exe' from the Run command.

But I don't have it and it's too large to dl. Besides there must be easier way to disable overlay (hope so).


Here's a little joke for ya:

There was once a sheep farmer who needed help with the difficult task of castrating some of his inferior male sheep to keep them from breeding with the females. He hired a French guy who didn't speak English, but was a very good worker.
After the first day, they had successfully castrated 14 sheep and his French worker was just about to throw away the 'parts', but the sheep farmer yelled, "No! Don't throw those away! My wife fries them up and we eat them. They're delicious and we call them 'sheep fries'."

Just do as I said. The player is already there by default. It's just that M$ did not tell you about its existence.
