    Is there a better codec?

    When I download a movie,Does it already know which codec to use or is there codecs that will work better.Most movies I download use ms-mpeg4 v3.For the movies that use divx codec and that mpeg4 v3>what is the best method to covert into a vcd?1 More thing, The movies I dL all have a dark playback,How can i encode it with better settings for the best view?

    Use Windows Media Player v.6.4. While the video is playing, rightclick in the middle of the image. Select "Properties". Click on the "Advanced" tab. Doubleclick on the video codec (MS-MPEG4). Move the "Brightness slider. Click on "Apply". Click on "OK".
