Sounds like yet another fake file.

Try loading the file into virtualdub, If virtualdub can read the file, select File->'File information'.

If virtualdub can't read the file try compressing it with winzip. If It compresses by more than 5-10% it's a fake.
Donate your idle CPU time for something usefull.

        Again. "G-Spot"!!

Man, before you do all that effort, try this program.
It will tell you the exact codec that this movie is using and it will also tell you if you need to install it or if it is already insalled.
I'm not trying to go head to head with KHP, I think he has a point, but first before doing anything, you need to know the exact true codec of the movie and that program is "THE" program to do it, I'm using it every time I have any problems playing movies and it is so small , simple and helpfull!!
If my help dosn't work, then you should do what KHP suggested.

        Have fun man....

Oh, and one more thing, I hope you're not using WMP 9.0 because it is still unstable, I tryed it believe me.... and get rid of that Fddshow codec it is only troubles, it is one of the reasons to the "Green blurry and blocks" problem in some movies....

"Man, before you do all that effort" Lol. Taking a screenshot DOES take a lot of effort! But seriously, g-spot is a pretty useful program
