Laptop to TV with S-video - get 'ghost' image on TV

    Laptop to TV with S-video - get 'ghost' image on TV

    Compaq presario 730US with S-video out - connect to a newer JVC TV with S-video in. When viewing comp on TV, I get a ghost image of a TV station in the background. I've tried eveything I can think of (including disconnecting everything else from the TV). I connect my cable TV via the S-video without any issues. Anyone seen this happen before and hopefully have a solution?

      1) How long is the S-Video cable?

      2) Is the cable of high quality (gold connectors, heavy duty cable)?

          Sorry about the mulitple postings - wasn't sure which forum to place the comment in.

          It's not an especially good cable as far as I can tell - it's about 3 feet - I think it may have come with my video card long ago. I'll buy a new one if you think that'd help. Just figured since the cable connection is fine, thought this would be (unless the signal is so much stronger or something from cable box)
