Conversion Mpeg1 To Avi

Load your MPEG1 file into VirtualDub and it will automatically convert it to .AVI...

THANKS, I HAVE TRIED BUT (FILE MPEG1=2,1MB) WITH "SAVE AS" THE OUTPUT FILE IS 250MB, WITH "SAVE OLD FORMAT AVI" THE OUTPUT IS 2,7 MB.IN SHORT YOU CAN SEND ME THE VCF (SETTING FILE) FOR ONE GREATER COMPRESSION....

PS THE FILE WITH 2,1 MB IT' S A TEST FILE, I WOULD LIKE TRASFORM A MPEG (150/200MB) TO AVI IN ORDER TO REDUCE THE SIZE !!!.

Using VirtualDub, you have to select a codec (DivX or other) for compressing the video. From the "Video" dropdown menu, click on "Compression" and select the codec (and configuration) you prefer...

Just so you understand, Mediator requires you to make the same codec compression settings choices as does VirtualDub, Flask, etc...

Same problem here!
I'm trying to convert a 830mb mpeg video file into a avi file using virtual dub but finale size is other 1200mb!
I've selected compression with divx 5.02 codec and a bitrate of 700kb/s, what am I doing wrong?
