Confusing errors on Divx file

I have a Divx file that I downloaded. It wont play in any players I use. Media Player says "class not registered" Divx Player crashes when I try to load it. Ive ran the file through a couple of AVI utility programs... AVI codec viewer 0.7 says file incomplete,
GSpot v1.1 shows "status:trunicated 16.9 KB are missing" and Divfix shows "corrupted data at frames 6069,6078,135774"
can any of this be fixed.. ans what does some of these error messages mean. someone please help me out here

backup the file and try either divfix or load the file into nandub/virtualdub and save to new file

Ok I used "AVIfixed" which I found on DivX Digest in the software section and it worked great. I must admit though that Divfix didnt work.
