    Decompress WAV file with AC3-sound

I want to normalize the sound in a DivX/XviD movie. First I use "Save WAV" in VirtualDub. Secondly, when I try to decompress the WAV file in Winamp (Disk Writer plugin), I get an error message. How do I decompress the WAV file to be able to normalize it in DeDynamic? The WAV-file is in AC3-format.

    Best Regards,

Someone please respond... I'm having the same problem. There is a guide at the following website: http://nickyguides.digital-digest.com/fix-audio.htm

I just installed winamp and I can not find the "Audio I/O" under preference as the guide requires.

Is there another way to normalize sound?

Use BeSweet Gui to convert your AC3 wave file to "Wave-stereo" Then you should be able to take that wave-stereo file and normalize it. I don't think there's a way to do normalizing in Besweet.

I believe the besweet option is '-ota( -g max )' for normalize to 100%. You can also use besweet gui under OTA options
        Pregain- Normalize to- 100%
