Video Frozen...?

I have compresed several AVIs with DivX codec 5.03 and they play back great in DivX player 2.1, but if i try to play them in anything else (MediaPlayer, Winamp, etc) they wont play. They simply show the first frame for the duration of the movie...

Any reasons/help?

Many previous posts clearly indicate that v.5.03 is quite buggy. Try using v. 5.02 instead...

I have the same problem sometimes..
as for the winamp trust me u dont play your movies in it, media player 6.4 is awesome if its working.
I guess we install too many softwares for playback and they keep fighting for file associations and cause more errors, like i have to install quicktime and real player to play their proprietry formats but they also try to be the default player for everything samething goes for every other software out there, leaving us with more problems than every before :annoyed:

The same thing happens with 5.02 but it only happens on the first play, and then works if the movie is repeated...
