    Sound, but no picture. Why?

I have all the neccessary codecs installed, (at least I thought I did) and I tried to play the movie Drumline which is in XviD format. But the DivX player can't play it, and the Xvid player only plays the sound. Can anyone help me out?

    Thanks

    1) Load the .AVI file into VirtualDub or NanDub

    2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

    3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (both video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box

I have the same problem. In virtualdub, the picture is shown!
I have installed the Xvid codec, and ffdshow. This is the file info from virtualdub:

Whre did you get the randon codecs from?
I looked on XVID site, it's complicated for a beginner like me. I was looking for something which said - here is the Xvid codec - press to download

Make sure youhave configured FFDShow to handle XviD contents (Configuration -> Codecs).
