avi is to big need a easy compresser

yes i downloaed DVDSqueeze and copyed the dvd to avi but its 1.5gigs big what would be the best was to to atleast get it to 700megs with out cutting it or lose the good picture is tehre a easy compresser out thats easy with like a step waqy to do it ive tryed one and it knocked the words was out of wack please let me know thanx i tryed virtual dub and i cant find a filter that compresses it each time i tryed virtual dub it came out boxie very crappy picture and more sugestions

try virtual dub using one of its filters

If you have had no luck with VDub, you could try AVI2VCD or AVI2MPEG. Either of these should dramatically reduce the size of your file - just bear in mind that the quality of output is determined by the quality of input and you will be further compressing your file. However, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
