    Another AC-3 Problem - Grrr.......

    Hey there.

for the last couple of days i've been searching all around this forum for answers.....

My problem is that i have a divx movie with an AC-3 soundtrack.
now, i have soundblaster live which i connected it to my AC-3 reciever.
when i'm playing the movie thruogh winDVD 3.0 i can here only stereo....i looked thruogh the audio properties of the prog. but everything there was greyed so i couldnt check for the S/PDIF output.
    What can i do ?!?
i already dled filters and so on without much of a success...
    plz guys....Help ?

    BTW: i have Win XP

    Thanks,
    Ron.

Although WinDVD3.xxx will play Divx-compressed .AVIs, it will interpret and output their soundtracks as stereo only.

Windows Media Player (v.6.4) appears to properly interpret the .AC3 audio of DivX-compressed .AVIs.

Do u use the digital out which the Soundblaster Live has?
If yes u should enable the SPDIF output to your player check the "digital out only" to be enabled at the surround mixer and lastly after you installed-Registered the AC-3 Filters have u configured them for SPDIF?
Anyway I use an external AC-3 receiver and i also have the soundblaster live and I am using PowerDivX NextGen * 3.07 Build
which is freeware and u can download it.
U won't have any problems if use this player
