    Playback problem after upgrading Divx

Ok, here is the deal. My Divx player used to play all the possible movies. Then I installed some programmes like Nimo Codec, VirtualDub etc. Then I uninstalled them. Then my Divx player had to be upgraded to newer version 2.5.2. And that is where all the problem started. Strange some files which could not be played back in Wndows Media started playing, and and mostly those which were perfectly playable in Divx player cannot be played now. I tried to change 4cc code, doesn't help. Well it does but not on many files. On some AVI files I get about 1 or 2 seconds of video and then it freezes, but audio still goes on. Same files were good couple of days ago. Sometimes I get a message : Unknown exception caught. What does that mean? I also tried System Restore, but ffs it can't do that (no changes has been made). So I'm stuck. What I gotta do guys?

    Sorry for my english.

Use FFDShow to decode your DivX files and BSPlayer/WMP 6.4 as players instead.

    Cheers.
