How to change MP3 format to wav or smoething that will play in car cd

I am a neewbie at the copying game. Could someone tell me how to change mp3 format for songs to wav or something else that will play on car cd. I copied a about 11 tracks using cd creator and although it said it burned them and the cdrw light came on. I can't play any of then in CD car the disk appears to be blank. Would appreciate any help you could offer. I'm hoping that someone can tell me how to change the mp3 tracks I now have to something that will play in my car.

    Thanks

I think you are posting to the wrong forum, as this is the DVD Shrink VIDEO forum.

you have to convert to cda audio. nero is what i use. click on make audio cd, add your mp3 files and nero will convert and burn the files. you can put 80 minutes of audio on a 700mg cd-r. burn-at-once (free) will convert also

        Nero Mp3 to wav files

Sorry for this ? but I am stumped about where in Nero you change the mp3 files to wav. I checked make audio cd etc then I dragged files that were in mp3 format of course they were too long to fit on 80 minute disk bec mp3 takes more room I guess than wav. I must be missing a step. I can't believe that I have to convert each trach using the encoding method. So if possible could you let me know what part of nero automatically changes all the tracks to wav with the least amount of trouble.
Thanks for your patience and wisdom!!!

In fact, the same wav file will take a lot (maybe 10 times as much) more space than the MP3. So perhaps the problem is that you are adding too many mp3 files, thus running out of space on the CD - try maybe 15-20 songs and see if you can get them to fit. I suspect that once you tell nero that you want to make an audio cd, it may convert the mp3 files automatically, since it know what the format should be on the disk.

            To wingerz

Although this is not an audio forum, it is also not part of the DVD Shrink-specific sub-forums.

This is actually Digital Video Forums > Other > Authoring/Conversion/Encoding

i like nero cause it tells you when your cd is to it's limit
              if using nero do this
              open nero rom
in the new compilation window click cd (top left corner)
              highlight audio cd
              click new (top right)
browse to where your files are
add your file ( i add 1 at a time)
nero does a quick analyse of your file
watch the minute bar at the bottom as you add your files
don't go over the 80 min. mark, if you do right click on the file you added (in the track title window) and delete it ( this will only delete the file from your compilation )
when done adding your files click on burn
the burn compilation window will come up
click on the burn button in this window (top right)
nero will do the rest for you
when done burning you will have a cda compliant audio cd

              hope this helps
ps if you use a different burning software let us know so we can be more specific
