    Divx playback w/o divx codec?

Is it possible to playback divx/xvid encoded files without the codecs being installed?
Like is there a player or something i can do--like make a cd with the divx codec files in it and a player-- and play divx-avi through the cd..
Im asking cause i cant install stuff on the comps from school. they restrict installations....

    I don't think so.

Without the codecs installed, you may be out of luck

FFDShow will play divx and xvid but has to be installed on your computer. VLC (video lan) uses it's own codecs and plays just about any video format.
