After updating my machines hardware Ive found, that some mpegs are playing back with distorted sound. First I thought it was the transfer for my old PC that might of corrupted it but when I transfered them back, all was well again??
I then checked the codecs of each machines and they are exactly the same (even stranger!!)
So then, as it seemed to be onlty affecting mpeg I (using my old computer), Vdubbed them into AVI's (divX 5.0.1) with a decient audio bitrate, expecting it to make a difference! It didnt!!
Ive also tried altering the speaker volume (and the speakers themselves), thinking it was peaking and that was causing the distortion, but it didnt work.
The wierdest thing is that its only happened to a handful of them, all the rest work fine?!?!
