How can i change my video resolution while playback.

FFDShow can automatically resize the video while in playback.

If I may ask, why do you want to do that? It will have no perceivable effect as far as I am concerned.

Actally i would like to remove the black bars from my video
but i can't find a cropping setting in my codec.

Any suggestions.

FFDShow has Cropping functions as well, but you wouldn't want to have this feature active when playing other files (which need no cropping). I suggest that you crop off the black bars using Virtualdub and recompress it. Done properly, you shouldn't notice much, if any, quality degradation and you will not be bothered by the black bars any more.

using ffdshow perhaps will help during playback but i would like
to use my codec for cropping ,i know how but i don't now waht settings do i have to use such as
width
height
etc

hi all,
i try all of advices above. it works when tv and monitor using at the same time. but i just wonder can i just use tv alone for my display???

since tv just too heavy, i dont want to to carry it all the time when i need to watch movie files on my big Tv.

i try but tv displayed nothing when i turn cpu on. and everything back to previous after restarting; even i did change overlay/theatre mode.... before


any ideas?
