    Typical n00bie question

    Ok re encoded a movie using TMPGEnc DVD Source Creator and the final file size is over 6 gb i got 2 questions maybe someone could answer for me

    1.How can i resize it to fit on a dvd 5 (4.7)

    2.Theres slight audio sync problem of about 1 sec not much can this be fixed?or can i adjust settings before encoding?

    btw file type i encoded was xvid

    Use dvd shrink its better.

      if you stick on recode you have an option near target size.

        thankyou trying dvdshrink cool tool for dvds just this encoding i stumble on but this place a wealth of nfo i am sure i will find the answers if not i shall ask

            Use Dvdshrink. Next time you encode you can use a bitrate calculator to get the proper size file.

                Does anyone know where i'm going wrong with DVD shrink. I encoded something with it and the result was'nt very good, in fact worse than a badly done DivX film. Do you have to put a bitrate in or what because all that it offered me was a compression slider thing. And i went through all the options and setting and everything.

                    May i ask you what was the filesize of your dvd.
                    IF it was something like 8-9gb then expect that.
                    You can also use the reauthor feature to remove unuseful crap such as chapter selecting ,3or more audio channels etc.

                      And yes, i removed all uneccessary thing's like chapters and everything just the film.

                        If you have only 3.2g there is no need to "shrink" anything just make sure you have all files decrypted.

                          I wanted to shrink it to see if the compression was better when i re-encoded it to DivX.
