Dear Helpers,
After having reinstalled XP and with it all codecs,
avoiding double installations and codec conflicts, as I have successfully done many times before, I encounter a fresh problem:
Certain flics (that were playable in the past) would give an error message at all players. The message would be :"[such or such player] has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience"
Having checked the Flics (which were`nt ripped by me) with AVIcodec and Gspot both apps claim they are renderable/playble and that they all have something in common: being Xvid.
Having recieved the above results, I have tried reinstalling Xvid seperately and independently but the results repeated themselves. I have attached 4 screenshots pasted into one jpg file. The first is of the error message the players give, the second is of the error-message`s `more info` the third is of AVIcodec and the fourth is of Gspot.
Thank you in advance
