Jerky frame rate - Playback question

    Hello,

Hope someone can advise me with this. When trying to playback most divx/xvid files I am receiving a poor jerky framerate. The audio seems to be in synch but the framerate is choppy not smooth. I dont know if this has already been done in conversion or I dont have the correct setup. Playing back mpeg files is fine, but most if not all divx/xvid of recent times are like this, which tells me I'm doing something incorrect with my codecs. I've tried playback on the latest MP, and the standard divx player. Both with same results. My spec is a 2.3ghz, 512 memory, so I doubt its that.

    Thanks in advance,
    Mike.

download & install the latest "ffdshow" from here http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow

make sure it is the latest 'alpha' version

    then play your files
