The two of them have nothing to do with each other and I doubt their technology have anything in common, so you won't be able to play DivX videos in those players. But if you happen to have one of them, it never hurts to try and report your findings here.
What you are referring to is the short-lived Circuit City Divx format. Other than the great "similarity" in names (DivX;-] is not "Divx") the codec now in use has nothing in common with that now-dead format.
