how di i play xvid files?

im not familiar w/ the *.xvid file but i do have divx player my question is how do i play xvid files since they are

001.xvid
to
049.xvid

can someone explain it step by step? anyway thanks

Well the only really accepted use for the extension .xvid is for raw streams (m4v). Somehow I doubt that though. Maybe renamed rar files?

Would be rar files like I said. Open .001 and extract.

fake video file

I have a fake file I think,when I use virtual dub I get a pop up that says,THIS AVI FILE DOESN´T HAVE A MOVIE DATA BLOCK (MOVI)! . and when I click it to try to play it my pc gets sluggish and freezes there is definetly something wrong this file.
