MP4 codec and converter

Anyone familiar with mp4 video files and what codecs are needed for sound and if it can be converted to avi?

mp4 is just a container which can hold private streams. use YAMB to mux the a/v streams into the avi container.

for sound, likely using aac audio. download coreaac or ffdshow to play audio
