    DVD Playing issues(Of course...)

I have a problem with a dvd that behaves differently all the time
when i open it with media player classic i can hear and see it but subtitles wont work at all

when i open it with WMP10 it tells me i dont have a proepr decoder

when i right click the dvd and do open with - wmp10 it just wont play audio or video

I have the elecard mpeg-2 codec
I tried dec-check and that says the elecard is no good since it does not support wmp10 synchronization feature

also i compared the codec list with another computer(that can play dvds) and the only difference was a vp6vfw.dll

    any suggestions would be appreciated

I dont know what to do anymore

Use Media Player Classic, open only VIDEO_TS.IFO.

Get Windows Media Player 9 (I can give you a link). WMP10 is the worst thing Microsoft ever made, so I am hosting the WMP9 installer - let me know if you want it.

6.4 was the last decent version of WMP. Subs have always worked fine with MPC here.

9 is the bomb... you can get free music in the search bar. WMP10 makes you buy the music... stupid 99 cent songs.

Yeah WME and DRM suck too, but WMP10 is the worst "application for Windows XP" that they made. How's that description?
