Help with AVI - MAC!! PLEASE!!!

Hello, I'm new to this forum and I really need help. I have tons of south park movies using xvid, but I simply can't play them on my new Mac. I have put the xvid decoder on the library, as it was said on the site. Does somebody know what else I should do!? Oh, I had also used Divx Doctor II. The sound is ok, but the video is blank. Please, help me!!!
    Thanx!!!

For an iPod, you should convert to mp4. You also need to stick with SP MPEG-4 Part2, baseline AVC, etc. Also mp3 audio. Because strickly speaking you can simply remux an XviD/mp3 avi to a spec compliant mp4. Probably an iPod won't handle it though. Definatly don't think they can handle mp3 audio (in an mp4 container that is).

          Stupid...

I'm so stupid. My new mac is intel based and the divx codec I was installing was the old one, not supported on intel based macs. I downloaded the latest version and now is everything ok. Anyway, thanks for the help.
