    VirtualDubMod

    Hi

Iam trying to strip the audio out of a couple of avi's so I can rebuild them.

I have opened the first file and set direct stream copy then used the stream list to save the audio as a wav but I'm not having any luck saving the avi without audio useing save as,.. I don't remember haveing to do anything else,.. sorry if this has be asked before I didn't find any post to help with this and I did check under my name to make sure I did already ask this and it seems I didn't

I have two avi's and TMPGEnc is erroring on the second file if I try to append it in VirtualDubMod it says can't cause they'er diff codec's/compression etc so want to save as uncompressed video and audio and start again to make a DVD from the split avi

    Cheers

to append segments the file attributes must be the same. please post the file info of each

if you want to save the audio to wav for TMPGEnc to encode, you must demux it first. saving as wav from the stream list will not work.

This I understand,.. my issues is saveing the avi without audio for later rebuilding when I used save avi as it still has audio in it

have you tried disabling the respective streams?

After opening the .avi file in VirtualDubMod, go to Stream and press Stream list. Click "Disable" and then OK. Then save .avi file as normal. This will create a video only .avi file
