Import VOB and IFO to Windows Media Player

    Hi,

I have a family DVD that I took with a Sony Handycam Mini-DVD camera. When I insert the DVD in to my PC I can play the video with Windows Media Player with no issues. I was not able to add the video to Windows Media Player library. I copied all the .vod, ifo and bup files to my pc, renamed the .vob files to .mpeg and now Windows Media player allows me to add to the library but I can only view the first video/title in each chapter.

The video that I want to get to is on Chapter 3, title 5.

Does anyone know how to add a video (.vod,.ifo,bup) to Windows Media Library so that I can view all videos/chapters ?

    Thanks,

Use smartripper to rip the dvd to your computer. It has options for ripping each chapter, and also file-splitting for each chapter. It can rip each chapter to a separate vob file, and then you should be able to make it work.
