    Help with divx codec

I have a video that uses DX50 codec. It works fine in divx player but I want to edit it using virtualdub and avisynth, so it needs to work in virtualdub and media player classic. I tried K-lite and CCCP, and right now I have XP codec pack and divx codec pack but nothing has worked. Can somebody help me to get this video to play in VD and MPC?

    Thank you.

virtualdub & avisynth avisource() are very similar, contain much of the same code. both rely on vfw; either download the divx codec, or download & install ffdshow and enable divx 5 decoding via vfw codec config

suggest you uninstall every codec pack on your system
