    AC3 2.0 to MP2 - which downmix method ?

I have a 2 channel ac3 audio & i want to convert it to mp2 format using the besweet gui in order to mux it with the its corresponding m1v file (to play it on my standalone vcd player). So i was wondering which downmix method should i apply in AZID 1: stereo or surround ? Do i need to downmix the file at all as i believe the audio being 2 channel, is already downmixed to stereo format. Basically, i want to enjoy some loud audio experience without any noise distortion or clipping.

it's already stereo, no downmixing. for loud audio, apply hybridgain

    suggest BeLight or BeHappy

Thanx! I will try it, anonymez, but r u sure that hybrid gain will boost the overall audio ? Well just yesterday, i encoded an ac3 2 channel file to mp2 stereo using belight. I turned on 100% normalization, 'normal' dynamic comression, hybrid gain, SSRC=44100 & i found that the output file played well on my pc but while watching on my standalone vcd player, the voice & the other surround effects were low. I dont know where i went wrong. Can u help me out in that, Anonymez ?

You can try ffmpegGUI for converting from AC3 to MP2
