    okay, so here's my problem...

i tried playing an .AVI video file. the video itself is fine, but there's no audio! i downloaded and ran afc, and here's what i got:

    Audio Code - 8192

Audio Codec - FAST Multimedia AG

    Video FourCC - XVID

    Video Codec - XviD MPEG-4

This AVI file appears to be valid and complete!

Approx 5464MB (81%) is Video and 136MB (19%) is Audio.

mind you the video is in three parts, so i tested with part one. i then opened a totally different video, an AVI video, to see what would happened. that video played fine and had audio.

sooo, am i just dealing with a bad vid?

could try VLC player to be sure, could certainly be the file itself, yes.

    better yet, install AC3Filter

    (tag 8192) try it then.
