    Someone please offer a suggestion...

I need advice on why the torrent files I just uploaded won't be imported to Windows Movie Maker.... I already have a codec which is DIVX to be exact and the file plays on Windows Media Player... however when I try to import it on Movie Maker for AMV making and cutting it to three pieces the file can't be imported... The file is in.AVI format... specified in the torrents page I downloaded it from... but the thing is... aren't downloaded files say an .AVI file supposed to pick up the icon of the player you use to play the file format?? example if Windows Media Player is the default player for .AVI files isn't it supposed to have the Media Player icon on the downloaded file?? I only get this random icon though... plus whenever I play it on Windows Media Player I get some message saying that "there is some extension not recognize by Windows Media Player" I'm wondering if this might be the cause... what extension?? I don't know... so I'm planning to upload a codec pack.. is this a good idea?? can someone tell me whtat I did wrong???
