Something went wrong with my audio and I need help

I have no idea what I did but every avi,divx,mpg movie I have sounds terrible all of a sudden. They were working fine and I guess i must have downloaded it from somewhere but they are all using subtitle mixer as the audio codec. I tryed opening them in Virtual dub and they sound fine. I checked my codecs and it wasent anywhere does anyone know how I can get it back to normal. Thanks.
