    PC to HDTV???

Is it possible to watch a hollywood dvd from a pc to a plasma HDTV.I bought a dvi to hdmi cable, but get a black screen in Powerdvd.Im not trying to copy the dvd, just watch it on the big screen. Is this even possible using dvi-hdmi,or do I have to go analog with component/composite??

either set the plasma as the primary display in your graphics card's drivers or user a player that allows you to specify the renderer, eg media player classic (set vmr9) or wmp (after disabling overlays)

I did put the plasma to primary, still a black screen in powerdvd, the others you mentioned mean nothing to me,can you please explain in more detail.the only black screen is powerdvd, the rest of the pc desktop stays visible on the plasma

download media player classic, go options-->output, select VMR9 renderless, hit OK. try playing a DVD
